upto 30 Hours Free Government Funding

The government funds local nurseries and other childcare providers to offer early education places free for children age 9 months to 4 years old in settings that are registered with and inspected by Ofsted. We are part of this scheme and we are now able to provide upto 30 hours funding for registered children aged 9 months upto 4 years old. Please note that your child will only be eligible from the term after they turn 9 months old. 

Eligible children can access up to:

> 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year (term time) this equates to 570 hours per year, or

> 30 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year (extended entitlement) this equates to 1,140 hours per year. 

Alternatively, we offer stretched funding. This model supports families by spreading the funded hours across 52 weeks of the year instead of the 38 term-time weeks which will then equate to:

> 10.96 hours per week for those accessing 15 hours per week spread across 52 weeks, or

> 21.92 hours per week for those accessing 30 hours per week, spread across 52 weeks.

Funding entitlement does not cover our closure days (bank holidays) and these days have been considered when calculating entitlements. 

** Highnam Day Nursery do not charge for public bank holidays

Tax Free Childcare

We have also registered ourselves with the TAX Free childcare scheme which is ran through the government. For every £8 you pay into your childcare account, the government will pay in an extra £2. You can get up to £2000 government support per child, per year towards your childcare costs. If you have a child with a disability, you can receive up to £4000 per child. They can then use this money to pay your childcare provider.
